Edgar Momplaisir - TV Writer Who Enjoys Comedy Improv

Edgar Momplaisir is a Southern California TV writer who guides the production company Los Negritos. His resume includes a role as Paramount Plus/Titmouse Star supervising producer with “Everybody Still Hates Chris.” He has also held production responsibilities with “Trek Lower Decks,” a popular animated Star Trek spinoff, and was executive story editor with “Blackish,” an ABC production. Edgar Momplaisir has developed original TV pilots and was recognized as a Sundance New Voices Lab Fellow in 2018.

Mr. Momplaisir enjoys improv and alternative comedy, and regularly takes to the stage at the Upright Citizen Brigade comedy theater. Originally from New York City, he later resided in McAllen, Texas, before relocating to Southern California and joining theatrical performances such as Asscaaat. He consulted with Comedy Central/Irony Point for a Franchesca Ramsey sketch show and was a writer on the 71st Primetime Emmys.

Edgar Momplaisir has a strong respect for the history of cinema, and is a fan of creative art forms such as alternative hip-hop. He is an avid NBA fan who has supported the New York Knicks for many years and admires the craft of future hall-of-famer Kevin Durant.
